TUANZ Innovation Awards 2006
in association with General Cable Logo

Each year the TUANZ Innovation Awards recognise and reward New Zealand innovation in telecommunications. However, innovation is not something that happens at a moment in time. The pace of technological advance is increasing and New Zealand must work ever-harder to succeed.

2005 saw the launch of the Government’s Digital Strategy and of the IPSTAR satellite which, combined, have the potential to mean huge changes for New Zealand.Broadband does not only provide a fast means of transferring data, but also voice. Convergence is here and now, and triple play is just around the corner.

Therefore the 2006 Innovation Awards focused on kiwi ingenuity in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) with a heavy emphasis on the communications.

Awards are for products or services originating or provided in New Zealand. All awards place a premium on innovation, be it technical or commercial.
