25 points – Proven ability to identify/design an innovative technical solution to meet a business requirement
Judges will be looking for the applicant to demonstrate their understanding of the business requirement, explain what was innovative about the solution, and how the solution met the requirement.

25 points – Degree to which their personal contribution was innovative in approach (thinking outside the square)
Judges will be seeking to understand the extent to which the applicant's personal contribution to the solution was innovative in approach.

25 points – Demonstrated thought or technical leadership within the team
Judges will be seeking to understand the level of thought and/or technical leadership demonstrated by the applicant in the execution of the solution. The applicant will need to include evidence of:
Appropriate decision making and follow through
recognising the need for and application of an existing technical solution, OR
recognising the need for and application of an "out of the box" solution
Demonstrated success of chosen solution
