For the most innovative local or central government product, service or initiative developed in New Zealand, and delivered electronically to New Zealanders, which enhances productivity and access to information.
Entries will be rated for the following:
20 points
– uniqueness and/or originality of product or approach
20 points
– ease of use/ usability
30 points
– extent of improvement in the quality and effectiveness of local and central government that may result from the initiative
30 points
– level to which achievement is demonstrated/delivered

Is this a completely new product that has not yet been offered to the NZ telecommunications user?
Is it an innovative new way of delivering a previously available service/product?

Judges will be seeking to understand how easy it will be for the target user to use the application.

in PDF format and clearly identified what entry this supports.

30 points – extent of value in increasing the uptake or attractiveness of learning
What is the business need being addressed?
Judges will be seeking evidence that the service provider understands the users business and how their product adds value to that business.
How does this solution benefit local or central government?
What is the benefit to the user of the service/product?
Is the need/problem of local or of national significance?
How easily can this product be used anywhere in NZ?

30 points – level to which achievement is demonstrated/delivered
Judges will be looking for empirical evidence (eg surveys, studies, customer statistics). Non-empirical evidence will not be considered.
These reports may be emailed to the
judging coordinator
in PDF format and clearly identify what entry the reports support.
The extent of the market currently benefiting from the initiative must be stated.
The judges will be looking for evidence that this is an operational reality and not a proposed future or partially completed initiative.
