"TUANZ membership? What's in it for me?"

At the heart of any good association lie not just words but actions as well. Here at TUANZ we believe in action! Members benefit from networking and developing their commercial needs within a neutral but supportive environment, and we provide a foundation from which New Zealand business can meet and develop telecommunications strategies, now and into the future.

We have built up a successful and imaginative programme of ground breaking services and events that provide something for everyone. As a member of TUANZ you will receive:

Representation

Most members are eligible to stand for election to the TUANZ executive board.

Executive Briefings
TUANZ has begun a programme of executive briefings designed especially for key corporate members.
The aim of these briefings is to share current telecommunication issues and trends as seen by TUANZ and discuss how these may impact on New Zealand’s larger corporations and organisations in the medium to longer term.
The programme, which runs about 60 minutes and includes time for questions and discussion, will be of interest to executives at the CIO, IT Team Manager, CFO and CEO levels. Web site and contact centre managers may also benefit from the briefing.
TUANZ is happy to visit members’ premises for these briefings which are offered at no charge as part of corporate membership. All we ask is that the company set a suitable time and in-house venue, invite the personnel who should attend and provide a data projector and screen for our use.

Special Interest Groups
TUANZ Contact Centre Group
In 2000 CCANZ -  the Call Centre Association of NZ - merged with TUANZ to become a special interest group within the organisation.

The TUANZ Contact Centre Group works to raise the standing of the contact centre industry and assist in developing its potential as a contributor to business and the New Zealand economy. In July 2001 TUANZ presented the first Contact Centre Conference and Awards, recognising and sharing excellence in the New Zealand contact centre industry. This event has been succesfully repeated annually since the inaugural conference and awards.

TUANZ Education Group
We have a strong track record within the teaching community, not least our annual Education Conference "Road-Show", which just keeps on getting better and better. This year almost 2000 teachers, principals and ICT facilitators attended the TUANZ Education Conference in nine regional centres from Invercargill to Whangarei.

The annual event is part of a wider programme that's committed to exploring innovation in the use of new educational technologies, and putting into practice these advancing teaching methods.

The Education Group's aim is to provide support for New Zealand educators with an excellent opportunity for the likes of teachers, school managers and Boards of Trustees to embrace and improve their knowledge of national information and communications technology (ICT) initiatives and learn from the experience of their peers.

We actively engage with government on issues relevant to policy and legislative developments, acting as a conduit between our members and government.

TUANZ Interactive
TUANZ is supportive of the use and development of interactive multimedia. We do this by educating and recognising people involved with and benefiting from interactive media through events such as our prestigious TUANZ Business Internet Conference and Awards.
