Ok, so "Downstream" aspires to be the place where you read things first but I must confess since the word got out this morning that I'm leaving TUANZ I've been too tied up to do a blog post. Ironic!
I've had some really nice messages today. Extremely nice ones. Thank you all.
None of them had job offers! Though one, if I hold it up to the light and read upside down, could have been construed as a very tentative RFP.
Never mind.
Anyway, for these next few weeks I'm committed to getting my desk sorted for my successor. I'll be in head down, business as usual mode over that time. Might have some reminiscing to do when my last week arrives.
Meanwhile there are several really interesting things I'll be involved in over the remaining few weeks:
- The last two "Future of Health" workshops in Hamilton and North Shore next week
- The "After 5s" hosted by Asnet - with video conferencing featured next week - still working out which venues I'll get to
- The TUANZ Innovation Awards on 2 September - PARTY PARTY PARTY!!! I'll DEFINITELY be at that one. (Have you boked your corporate table yet????)
- A TCF workshop on emergency services
- An Economic Development Agencies conference at Te Papa
- A couple of meetings of the Telecommunications Disputes resolution Council
- The NZ Computer Society's 50th jubilee conference in Rotorua
- Several presentations to staff of member organisations
And more. I'll keep you posted.
