Registrations for the Contact Centre Conference and Awards are rolling in but this year we’ve had a bit of feedback about the fact the Awards ceremony is the day before Anzac Day. Some of you, especially those from out of town, are a little concerned about having to travel the next day.
One manager told me he had an 8am flight the next day, and while that hadn’t stopped him booking a corporate table for the Awards (good man!); he was wondering a little about how he’d cope. So I rather cavalierly suggested that he check his suitcase into the coat check at the Awards and go straight from SkyCity to the airport.
Crazy? Perhaps not, I was speaking to another manager who told me that last year he caught a plane to Australia with two gentlemen still in the tuxes from the TUANZ Awards the night before. Yes we know how to party!
On a more serious note, please note that we’ve secured a discounted rate for conference delegates at SkyCity which applies not only for the duration of the event, but for the weekend as well. So if you fancy staying over for the weekend, this is a good deal.
