An insight to the Ezibuy Contact Centre

I always have visions of what contact centres look like when I’m talking to them on the phone. (I assume this is normal behavior or have I been in the industry too long?) Anyway, I’m always thinking; are they in rows or pods, what colour are the walls, have they got rewards and recognition programmes. And if they are a centre that sells products, do they have the product available to them?
Take the Ezibuy Contact Centre. Years ago when you could only order via the free phone number with Ezibuy, I always wondered whether Ezibuy staff had all the products in the centre (and what discount they got and how handy that would be!).
Well now I know, luckily I got to visit the Ezibuy Contact Centre a year or so ago and discovered a well laid out centre with clothes and items lining the contact centre. How cool is that? Then more recently I caught up with Shelley Hemi who is the contact centre manager at Ezibuy during the March Contact Centre Event.
We started to talk about how things have changed especially for Ezibuy and the pace of change (and we also had an interesting time trying to make decisions whether we should eat the finger food being produced regularly!). However, as we talked I decided we need to start profiling contact centres again.
So no surprises Ezibuy was first on my list, as I’m sure most of New Zealanders at one time or another have called the Ezibuy free phone number. So if you want to know more about the Ezibuy contact centre and see what it looks like, we have our first profile available on our Contact Centre Section.
My thanks go to Shelly and her team for answering a few questions and sending some great photos of their centre. Ezibuy currently has a centre of 70 seats but 127 staff in total based in Palmerston North. They take over 6, 500 emails enquiries and over 3000 live chat contacts per month and took 1.28 million calls last year! Do you want to know more, click here.
I hope you enjoy the read. I will bring more profiles every month from centres throughout New Zealand.
