The New Year has finally arrived and we all agree it was well over due, 2009 is nothing but a distant memory.  What I can’t believe is that it’s February and now the hot cross buns are in the shops so if we don’t watch out, the year will fly past.

As with every New Year, many managers will be completing or have completed their budgets for 2010-2011 and the word on the street is that there is a little more give in the budgets compared to last year.  I hope that those centre projects put on hold last year, get dusted off and get the go ahead.

It's nice to see that recruitment drive is a little bit stronger in the main centres, I expect this is a welcome relief to centres that had been running under headcount for many months of the 2009 year (but expected to produce the same service levels!)

As this is also a time for cleansing for the year ahead, I have been busy working my way through the contact centre section resource library cleaning and checking that our information is still relevant. I'm pleased to say that the resource library is looking good with great contact centre related links to help you to get new ideas and/or inspiration for your staff and centres.

We have a number of suppliers and IT vendors listed and links for your recruitment, training and personal development needs.  Don’t forget to check out our Government Resource links for easy access employment and staff issues.                  

The resource library has grown over the last 12 months so if you haven't checked it out for a while, it's worth a look.

Here's hoping that 2010 is a year of growth for contact centres and your staff.
